Obituary of Johnnie Washer Waggoner

Funeral services for Johnnie Waggoner, age 84 will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Outreach Baptist Church, Columbia, Louisiana with Bro. C. R. Martin and Bro. Ed Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia. The family will receive visitors from 5 PM until 8 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the church.

Johnnie Marie Washer Waggoner was born April 16, 1934 at Columbia, LA to the union of her parents, Claude Thomas Washer and Mamie Haddox Washer and she passed from this life on February 3, 2019 at Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Edward Waggoner; her son, Kerry Glen Waggoner and her brother, Garland Washer. Johnnie was an active member of Palestine Baptist Church. She was known for her hospitality and the wonderful meals she prepared on Sundays and holidays for her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Tom Waggoner and wife, Kathryn; her daughters: Shelia Crain and husband, Freeman, Sharon Mosley and husband, Larry and Stephanie Martin and husband, C. R.; her brother, Eloy Washer and wife, Joyce; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Darrell Crain, Brandon Waggoner, Logan Waggoner, Cody Coghlan, Michael Simonelli, Dennis Robertson, Tommy Guyton, Jeff Cobb, William Tackett, Ethan Cobb, Sean Coody and Will Waggoner.
