Obituary of Erma Catherine Gilmore

Funeral services for Erma C. Gilmore age 77 of St. Francisville, LA will be held 2:00 PM Thursday February 7, 2019 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Clark Family Cemetery at Grayson. Visitation will be on Thursday as well from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Erma Catherine Gilmore was born on December 19, 1941 to the union of her parents James Arthur Clark and Eunice Oser Clark and she passed from this life on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Gilmore was a former resident of Caldwell Parish and was a longtime member of Little Star Baptist Church at Holum. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Erma loved her Monday night wrestling. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Edward Gilmore, her grandson Thomas Crockett , her parents and by her sister Mary Clark. Erma was a retired employee of Entergy, Inc.

Left to cherish her life and memories are three sons: Jimmy Crockett and wife Phyllis of Wesson, Mississippi, Ricky Crockett and wife Christina of Grayson and Noel and Holli Gilmore of St. Francisville; five brothers:Joe Clark, Jesse Clark, Ben Clark, Jim Clark, Robert Clark and Odis Clark; two sisters: Ruth Ann Brown and Amy Oser; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Grandsons are serving as pallbearers and Phillip Crockett is serving as honorary pallbearer.
