Obituary of Connie Suzanne James Jones

Funeral services for Connie Suzanne James Jones of Texarkana, Arkansas and formerly of Columbia will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 18, 2019 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

Connie Suzanne was born on August 7, 1963 in Monroe, LA to the union of her parents, Malcolm James and Patricia Ann Word and she passed from this life on Friday, February 15, 2019 at her sister's residence in Dry Prong, LA following an extended illness. Connie came from a large loving family and her skills as a mother and grandmother rate among the very best. She was a member of Crossway Pentecostal Church. Preceding her in death are her mother, Patricia Ann Albritton; her father, Malcolm “Manny Boy” James; her father, Everett Albritton; her brother, Mike James and her mother and father-in-law: Patricia and Kenneth Jones.

Left to cherish her and a lifetime of memories are her husband of sixteen years, Charlie Jones of Texarkana, Arkansas; two daughters: Brandy Swain and husband, Jamie of Columbia and Jamie Hoover and husband, Chris of Dallas, Texas; two sons: Randy Allen Girod, Jr. of Columbia and Dennis Jones and wife, Kerrie of Texarkana, Arkansas; two sisters: Linda James, David Adams and Wanda James both of Pineville, LA; grandchildren: Laney, Gracey, Emylie, Raylee, Hunter, Jordan, Alexander, Megan, Payton, Alexander Miles, Teagan, Charlie, Kyra and Ciara; great-grandchildren: Ezra, Leon, Whisper and Gavin; her nieces and nephews: Brittany Burdette, Clay Clark, Robert Clark, Jr., Carrie Calkins and Tabitha Coronado; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Clark, Robert Clark, Dennis Jones, Mathew Giddens, Chad Swain and Brady Webber.
