Obituary of Mary LouElla Chisolm

Funeral services for Mary Chisolm will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 17, 2019 at First United Methodist Church of Urania, Louisiana with Rev. Aaron Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until 2 PM at the church on Sunday.

Mary LouElla Cloud Chisolm was born on May 18, 1929 and received her heavenly wings on February 15, 2019. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nettie Cloud; her brothers: Richard, Arthur, Jessie and Clifford Cloud; sister, Melissa Cloud Weaver; grandson, Robert Earl Duff and son-in-law, Gene Pontiff.

She is survived by her children: Barbara Duff, Shirley Pontiff, Samuel Chisolm, Jr. and his wife, Debbie and Charles Chisolm and his wife, Jennifer. Her grandchildren include Theresa Brien and husband, Dale, Pam Tant and husband, Royce, Linnie Ford and husband, Steve, Mary Bergeron and husband, Dean, Amy Kramer, Jason Chisolm and wife, Elizabeth, Jessica Henderson and husband, Christopher, Jeffrey Chisolm and wife, Christine, Sonya Spillers and husband, Jason and Charles Chisolm and wife, Melinda. She is survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of friends and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Chisolm, Jeffrey Chisolm, Charles Chisolm, Jordan Boudreaux, Phillip Bahm, and Joe Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Spillers, Pat McDougald, Calvin "Bull" Barnhill and Bradley McDowell.

Mary was a beloved member of the community and loved by all who knew her. She spent her life working at Burger Barn. She worked numerous places and created friendships that have lasted a lifetime. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her. Go rest high on that mountain, Ma.
