Obituary of Delton Lee Nugent

Funeral services for Delton Lee Nugent age 82 of Olla will be held 1:00 PM Monday March 11, 2019 from the Olla chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Beaubouf officiating.  Interment will follow in the Little Star Cemetery at Kelly. Visitation will be on Monday March 11, 2019 at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Delton Lee Nugent was born on January 3, 1937 at Olla, La to the union of his parents Hershel Nugent and Nora Mae Snody Nugent and he passed from this life on Saturday March 9, 2019 at the Winnfield Nuirsing and Rehabilitation Center in Winnfield.

He was a truck driver for many years until his retirement and he always loved to go fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by two wives Willie Mae Nugent and Dorothy Lewis Nugent; his daughter: Patty Hudson; step son: Tommy Sikes, his parents and a sister: Brenda McClary.

Survivors include his sons: Bryan Nugent of Jena, Dennis Sikes of Holum, Michael Sikes (Gay) of Monroe, Lee Sikes of Holum and John Wesley Sikes of Clarks; four daughters: Dena N. Ponds ( Richard) of Tullos, Janice Sones(Jeff) Holum, Faye Fatheree of Holum and Betty May of Clarks; one brother: Hansel Nugent (Debbie) of Mississippi and a sister: Virginia Emig of Olla; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Gregory Simons, Ben Jackson, Wes Jackson, Chad Wells, Michael Dipley and Clay Cotten.
