Obituary of George Strickland Cagle, III

George Strickland Cagle, III of Columbia was born on July 23, 1953 at Bastrop, LA to the union of his parents George Strickland Cagle, Jr and Ollie Maude Wheelis Cagle and passed from this life on April 7, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. Known as Pete to everyone, he worked most of his life as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his daughter Shawn Marie Cagle of West Monroe; three brothers: James Cagle, Randy Cagle, and Malvin Cagle all of Caldwell Parish; two sisters: Sherry Bell of Monroe and Annette Calhoun of Bernice.; five grandchildren: Dale Cagle, Stormy Skyles, Briteny Skyles, Jayla Skyles, and MaKala Skyles and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Pete will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Riser & Son Funeral Home to help defray  cremation expenses.
