Obituary of Irene Wheeler Clark

Funeral services for Irene Wheeler Clark of Hebert, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2019 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Brian Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Hebert Cemetery. The family will receive visitors prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 10 AM at the funeral home.

Irene Wheeler Clark was born February 28, 1943 to the union of her parents,  the late A. C. Wheeler and Gertrude Dupree Wheeler and she passed from this life April 17, 2019 surrounded by the love of her family. She was a member of Hebert Community Church where she was considered the "church mother." She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always opened her home to friends and family for her amazing meals. Irene loved spending time gardening and taking care of her flowers. She will be remembered for her genuine love and compassion for others, through her service for Christ. She treasured her family and each child, grandchild and great-grandchild had a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 58 years, LeRoy Clark, Jr. and her son, Lee Roy Clark III.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters: Barbara Hall (Brian), Jennifer Fuller (Jimbo) and Billie Reid (Autry); her treasured sister-in-law, Annette McGuffee (Kirby); her treasured grandchildren: Jesse Hall (Jessica), Hope Reid, Annie Thompson (Andrew); Hilary Weeks (Caleb), Jeff Fuller (Liz), Heather Stapleton (Michael), Sara Graham (Aaron), Kevin Fuller (Jessie), Justin Fuller (Sarie), Tyler McGuffee (Evan) and Mattie K McGuffee. Also, her treasured 20 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Hall, Andrew Thompson, Caleb Weeks, Jeffery Fuller, Michael Stapleton and Kenny Dannehl. Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Graham, Aaron Kelly, Justin Fuller and Kevin Fuller.
