Obituary of Ella Mae Tucker

Funeral services for Ella Mae Tucker, age 77 will be held at 2 PM Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Columbia Heights Baptist Church, Columbia with Bro. Warren Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home, Columbia.

The family will receive visitors from 5 PM until 9 PM Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the church and Sunday beginning at 1 PM until service time.

Ella Mae Adams Tucker was born February 21, 1942 in Texas City, TX to the union of her parents, Robert and Helen Adams and she passed from this life April 25, 2019 at her home in Kelly, Louisiana. She was an active member of Columbia Heights Baptist Church and she loved her church family. She enjoyed her visits to the Council on Aging and had many friends there. Ella Mae loved working in her yard growing flowers and plants. She was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She loved and cherished her family and she will be greatly missed by them. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Edward Tucker, Sr.; her sons: Michael Wayde Tucker, Sr. and Raymond Tucker, Jr.; her daughter, Marilyn Mae Tucker; brother, Bobby Adams; sisters: Beatrice Pabst, Joyce Prater and Carrol Flippo and four grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Robert James Tucker, Helen Miller and Mary Tucker; brother, Nathan Adams, Sr.; sister, Helen Marie Ainsworth; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; her best friend, Rosemary Griffin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Miller, Brandon Miller, David Arnold, James Pinard, Chris Cader and Jesse Joy. Honorary pallbearers are Steve May and Clay Bennett.
