Obituary of Billy Jim Elliott

Graveside funeral services for Billy Jim Elliott, age 68 of Clarks, Louisiana will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Columbia Hill Cemetery, Columbia, Louisiana with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. The family will receive visitors from 9 AM until 10:45 AM at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia.

Billy Jim Elliott was born May 1, 1951 in Newton, TX to the union of his parents, John Wesley Elliott and Mamie Lee Cooper Elliott and he passed from this life May 26, 2019 at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe, LA after a lengthy illness. Billy served in the Air Force as an airplane pilot during the Vietnam War. He had many stories he shared with his sons throughout the years about his time in the service. He loved hunting and fishing. He spent many hours with "BJ" working on his truck and he loved every minute of it. His family was his life. They will miss him terribly. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Laurie Lynn Elliott and Nell Elliott and brother, Kenneth Elliott.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carolyn Sue Elliott; sons: Billy Joseph Elliott (fiancée, Raven Hunt), James Richard Elliott and William Brian Elliott; sisters: Wanda Harrison and Yvonne Elliott; brother, Wesley Elliott; three grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
