Meredith grew up the ultimate country boy, spending time with close friends, showing animals for FFA, hunting and fishing and playing slow pitch softball with his “boys'. He graduated from Newellton High School and attended Louisiana Tech University for two years before returning home to pursue his passion in farming. Even all these years later, he studied every field he passed to make a judgment on the crops planted.
Meredith moved to Columbia in 1995 to be close to his cousins and work at Hogan Energy. This began a tradition of cooking “stuff” at the cookshed and you never knew what concoction he and his cousins would come up with next. In 2005 Meredith began his final career as a pipefitter. He was able to travel all over the United States and made a new family with all the men he traveled and worked with through out the years.
