Obituary of Georgia Lee Johnson

Funeral services for Georgia Lee Dollar Johnson will be held 10 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, Louisiana with Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Columbia. The family will receive visitors from 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the funeral home.

Georgia Lee Dollar Johnson was born July 25, 1933 at Riverton, Louisiana to the union of her parents, James and Carrie Alford Batson and she passed from life June 23, 2019 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. Georgia was preceded in death by two husbands: Earnest Lavelle Dollar, Sr. and Jimmy Johnson, her parents and her many siblings. She enjoyed fishing and working in her yard growing flowers. She found great joy when she was around children and she had a special place in her heart for animals. Georgia loved people and wasn't afraid to tell you she loved you. With Georgia you knew she didn't just say the words but she meant it with all her heart. She was a member of Clarks Pentecostal Church for many years. After she went to live at the Haven she began to worship there as a baptist with Pastor Jack McKeithen.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Lavelle Dollar and wife, Debbie; granddaughters: Shelby Dollar and fiance', Matt Dannehl, Samantha Dollar and Shayna Dollar and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers wil be Clay Bennett, Jack McKeithen, Matt Dannehl, Tony Childress, Scott Meredith and Scott Lovelady.
