Obituary of Teresa Lynn Kenner Tarver

Funeral services for Teresa Lynn Kenner Tarver age 60 of Columbia will be held 2:00 PM Sunday August 4, 2019 from the sanctuary of Banks Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Riley officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson, with services entrusted to Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday August 3, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. And at the church on Sunday from 12:30 PM until time of service.

Teresa Kenner was born on October 26, 1958 at Livingston, Texas to the union of her parents Billy Arnold Kenner and Thelma Grace Parker and she passed from this life on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at her residence following a long but courageous battle with cancer.

Teresa was employed with the Caldwell Parish School System as Cafeteria Manager at Columbia Elementary School and worked at Central Elementary prior to that. She loved to cook and loved to eat the fruit of her labors. Teresa had an infectious smile that lit up any room she went into. Family was her life and her grandchildren blessed her heart greatly. She was a member of the Banks Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father Billy A. Kenner; her son: Eric Brast, her grand daughter: Chelsea Massey and her son: Howard Dean Tarver.

She is survived by her beloved husband Harold Wayne Tarver of Columbia; mother: Mrs. Thelma Hopson of Columbia; her step-mother: Mrs. Linda Kenner of Groveton, Texas; son: William Hammock (Tonya) Le Mesa, Texas ; her daughter: Tina Marie Phillips (Conway) Brownfield, Texas; her special niece: Tiffany Kenner of Columbia; her brother: Eddie Kenner (Tammy) of Lufkin, TX; her sister: Suzan Daugherty (Dan) of Western Grove, AR; her grandchildren: Christopher Beringer, serving in the United States Army (Kuwait); William Hammock, JR; Cady Perez, Erica Hammock, Shelby Brast, Tyler Tarver, Tory Tarver and Regan Phillips and her special niece: Tiffany Kenner.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Bamburg, Floyd Bergeron, Ryan Bergeron, Derick Hefner, Conway Phillips, Adam Tarver, Randy Dixon and Dillon Hefner.

Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Tarver..
