Funeral Services for Gary Donald  Polk, age 71 will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 31, 2019 in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Brian Rankin officiating.  Interment will follow at Bethany Church Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home.  The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, August 30, 2019 at the funeral home.

Gary was born May 23, 1948 in Osceolo, Arkansas to the union of his parents, Gladys Frisbee and Ed Polk and he passed from this life on August 24, 2019 at the Alexandria VA Hospital. He served our country in the Army and enjoyed fishing the outdoors and his solitude.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sons:  Michael Shane Polk, Terry Polk and brother, Eddie Wayne Polk.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Gary Polk, Jr. of Waggoner, OK; daughter, Monica Belic of Broken Arrow, OK; brothers: Larry Polk,  Billy Polk, Kenneth Polk and Earnest Polk; sister, Theresa Polk; grandchildren: Ryan Polk, Lisa Belic, Christopher Belic and Haley Polk plus a host of great-grandchildren.
