Obituary of Bobbie Lee McDonald

Funeral services for Bobbie Lee McDonald will be held at 10 AM Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Billy McClanahan and Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks, LA under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

Bobbie Lee Smith McDonald was born March 28, 1935 in Chatham, Louisiana to her parents, Vanella Coleman and Luther Robert Smith and she passed from this life September 3, 2019 at the age of 84 after a lengthy illness. Prior to her illness, Bobbie loved to go to the Council on Aging and visit with her friends. She enjoyed fishing and loved eating catfish, regardless of who caught them. She loved music and enjoyed the church services at the Haven. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phillip McDonald, Sr.; her son, Phillip McDonald, Jr.; brother, Tommy Smith and sister, Bobbie Nell Crawford.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas McDonald and wife, Sheila; grandsons: Phillip McDonald III, Neal McDonald and Russell McDonald; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
