Obituary of Jerry Dale Perot

Funeral services for Jerry Dale Perot will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Bro. Billy McClanahan officiating. Interment will follow at Perot Cemetery, Columbia. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 5 PM until 8 PM, Monday, September 9 and noon until 2 PM Tuesday.

Jerry Dale Perot, age 68 was born April 12, 1951 in Monroe, LA to the union of his parents, Dave Perot, Sr. and Hazel May Sikes Perot and he passed from this life September 8, 2019 at his home in Columbia. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Deloyd Perot and Shelby Perot and sisters: Hazel Breland and Helen Laffoon.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Charlene Caraway Perot; sons: Jerry Wayne Perot and Terry Dale Perot (Heather); daughter, Tracy Renee Smith (Rodney); grandchildren: Bobby Wayne Perot (Samantha), Blake Perot, Morgan Perot, Trystan Perot, Destiny Perot, McKenzie Howard and Autumn Smith; brothers: Dave Perot, Jr., Clifton Perot (Debbie) and Marty Perot (Deanne); sisters: Shirley Masters, Gloria Crawford (Wayne) and Judy Caraway (Gene) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Perot, Colt Hall, Joshua Caraway, Will Thomas, J. R. Leteff and Terry Kelly. Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Perot and Danny Caraway.
