Obituary of Allen Ray Talbert

Funeral services for Allen Ray Talbert, age 69 of Columbia will be held at 4 PM Sunday, September 22, 2019 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Shane Duke and Bro. Mark Dannehl officiating. Burial will follow at Burroughs Garden of Memories. The family will receive visitors Saturday, September 21 from 5 PM until 8 PM and Sunday, September 22 from 2 PM until 4 PM at the funeral home.

Allen Ray Talbert was born July 4, 1950 in Franklin Parish to the union of his parents, Archie Marvin Talbert and Beatrice Marie Brown Talbert and he passed from this life September 20, 2019 at his home in Columbia after a lengthy illness. Allen enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved to watch TV but also enjoyed puzzles and games. He was a man of many talents and could do anything he set his mind to. He was a welder and surveyor and he also worked in construction and telecommunications. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Archie Lee Talbert.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of fifty years, Kaye Talbert; son, Christopher Allen Talbert; daughters: Cheryl Linebaugh (Jerry) and Kimberly Talbert; brother, James R. Talbert (Anita); sisters: Patsy Buckley (John Paul), Marie Lofton (Winton) and Shirley McManus; grandchildren: Stormy Billmeier, Brooklyn Keen, Hunter Talbert, Lauren Butler, Hannah Linebaugh, Bailey Linebaugh,Stormy Billmeireir (Justin), Brooke (Sawyer), Marvin Talbert, Beatrice and Aiden Talbert; one great-grandchild, Rayland Minchew and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Danny Massey, James A. Talbert, Steven Jarrett, Kenny Dannehl, Scott Massey and Sawyer Southern.
