Obituary of Tommy Allen Poole

Graveside funeral services for Tommy Allen Poole will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery west of Columbia with Bro. Jack McKeithen officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia.

Tommy Allen Poole, age 57 was born June 23, 1962 at Olla, Louisiana and passed from this life September 21, 2019 at Citizens Medical Center, Columbia after a lengthy illness. Tommy was a diesel mechanic but could weld and do most anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and telling a good story. He was a huge football fan. He loved to cheer-on his favorite teams - the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Howard Poole and his mother, Sherlene Rodgers Herrington.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Casey Poole (Jessie); daughter, Megan Poole; brothers: Charles Poole (Debbie), Gary Poole, Steve Briscoe (Reba) and Paul Briscoe (Dee); sisters: Dianne Childress (Tony) and Janey Poole Trahan; step-mother, Mary Poole; aunt, Ellie Huddleston; uncle, Drexell Rodgers (Pat) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
