Obituary of Dena Lanell Miller Crawford

Funeral services for Dena Lanell Crawford will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Jeff Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Old Catahoula Cemetery, Enterprise, Louisiana. The family will receive visitors from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday, September 24, 2109 at the funeral home.

Dena Lanell Miller Crawford was born July 20, 1932 in Baskin, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Willie Leon Miller and Ina Garner Miller and she passed away September 22, 2019 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia, Louisiana. Nell, as she was known by family and firends, loved to work in her flower garden. Her green thumb was evident in the colorful display of beautiful flowers in her yard. She was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Gerald Crawford, Sr.; daughter, Susan Renee Crawford; brother, J. C. Miller and sisters: Lavelle Milby, Willie Ester Ellerman and Faye Carr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marilyn McGuffee and husband, Keith; sons: Floyd Gerald Crawford, Jr. and wife, Terri and Lloyd Chad Crawford and wife, Robin; sister, Janette Durham; grandchildren: Jeremy Dale, Heath Dale, Dustin Crawford and Brandon Book, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
