Obituary of Marty Joe Chapman

Funeral services for Marty Joe Chapman age 63 of Olla will be held 2:00 PM Sunday November 10, 2019 from the Olla chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with  Rev. Denver McBroom officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilbanks Cemetery at Summerville, LA. Visitation will be on November 9, 2019 at the funeral home in Olla from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Marty was born on July 17, 1956 in Wisner, LA to the union of his parents Willie “Chat” Chapman and Agnes Winnona “Nonie”Coker McGuffee and he passed from this life on November 8, 2019 at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna Kay Elliott. He loved to work in his yard and loved anything to do with his granddaughters.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his daughter, Christi Estis (Chad) of Olla; his brothers: W. C. Chapman (Jane) and Mark Chapman; a host of nieces and nephews and his beloved granddaughters: Catelyn, Carli, Cammie, and Callie.

Serving as pallbearers will be Zack Dickey, Griffin Peppers, Braden Lawson, Marcus D. Chapman, Josh Young and Steve Young. Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Harville.
