Obituary of Holly Tingle Simmons

Funeral services for Holly Tingle Simmons will be held at 10 AM Monday, November 11, 2019 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson. The family will receive visitors from 9 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Holly Faye Tingle Simmons was born June 20, 1929 to the union of her parents, Elijah "Wash" Tingle and Lallie Volentine Tingle and she passed from this life November 7, 2019 in Ruston, Louisiana after an extended illness. Holly worked many years for South Central Bell, first as a telephone operator and later in the business office. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert G. Simmons and her four siblings: Hilga Gore, Judson Tingle, Marshall Tingle and Harper Tingle.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Maurine Wilkins of Columbia and Mark Simmons of Grayson; her grandchildren: Holly Wilkins Brossett of New Orleans, Harper Wilkins of Columbia and Hillary Wilkins Lizenby (Joe) of Columbia and her great-granddaughter, Bella Brossett.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mitch Bratton, Harper Wilkins, Joe Lizenby, Bob Frazier, Neil Riser and Mark McKee.
