Obituary of Joyce Floydean Williams

Funeral services for Joyce Floydean “Nanny” Williams age 64 of Grayson passed from this life on December 11,2019 at her residence following an extended illness. Nanny was born in Hereford, Texas on November 5, 1955. She was preceded in death by mother Ruby Horton and by her father Buford Horton; her sisters: Christine Grimes and Brenda Horton; her brother: Walter Horton and her grandson: Allen Atkinson.

Left to cherish her love: Husband, Benjanin Neal Williams ; daughter: Jo Ann Atkinson of Grayson; son: Neal McDonald and life partner: Wendy Weed of Hebert; son: Phillip McDonald and wife Priscilla of Semmes, Alabama. Her sisters: Carol Mangus and Betty Horton of Barkett, Texas; Mary DeNaro and husband Chris of Saraland, Alabama; brother: Buford “BB” Horton and wife Candy of Mayfield, Texas; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, countless nieces and nephes who loved her very much.

Joyce is loved by so many. The best part of her lives on in those she loved dearly. If she told you she loved you, she honestly did. Nanny had the most wonderful smile that lit up a room when she entered, not to mention her beautiful, piercing blue eyes.

Per Nanny's request we will hold a celebration of her life at her home in Grayson on December 17, 2019 at 11:00AM. Bring your memories of her and share. You are welcome to bring food or drinks if you so desire. For us, we will be wanting hugs and smiles. For directions if needed call 649-9212
