Obituary of Joshua Carter Childress

Funeral services for Joshua Carter Childress, age 43 of Columbia, LA will be held at 10 AM Monday, December 23, 2019 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Chris Gainous officiating. Interment will follow at Pinegrove Cemetery, Rhinehart, LA. The family will receive visitors on Monday morning from 9 AM until time of service at 10 AM at the funeral home. Joshua Carter Childress was born September 27, 1976 at Natchez, MS and passed away December 19, 2019 at Columbia, Louisiana. Joshua was the son of Shirley Ann Stephens and Robert Lee Stephens. He loved his family so much. He especially loved spending time with his brother-in-law, Jason. They would often fish together and ride 4-wheelers which Joshua enjoyed. Joshua was a prankster and loved a good laugh. He enjoyed eating a good meal with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Brandy Ragsdale (Jason); brother, John Stephens (Sheila); grandmother, Annie Jones; his nephews he adored: Tyler Ragsdale, Trey Ragsdale, Landon Ragsdale, John Stephens and Zach Stephens; his best buddies: Ronnie, Cowboy, Kevin and the rest of the boys at Lakeview as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Evans, Thomas Kennedy, Jason Ragsdale, Jeremy Gainous, Justin Gainous, James Gainous and Ronald Romaire. Honorary pallbearers are the boys at Lakeview.
