Obituary of Theresa Diane Shelton

Funeral services for Theresa Diane Shelton, age 64 of Pollock will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from the sanctuary of Restoration Church (formerly Tullos United Pentecostal Church), Tullos, LA with Bro. Elzie Johson and Bro. Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Chickasaw Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. Theresa Diane Shelton was born January 20, 1955 in Harrisonburg, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Alton and Helen Johnson, and she passed from this life on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. Theresa loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as playing on her phone, fishing and most importantly, taking care of others. Theresa was preceded in death by her mother Helen Johnson, her husband Ronnie Shelton, brother Lamar Johnson, and daughter-in-law Christy Shelton. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Gleen Shelton (Ramona) and Allan Shelton; her daughter, Melissa Carter; her father, Alton Johnson; four sisters: Pamela Johnson, Robbin Johnson, Kathy Johnson and Debbie Johnson; grandchildren: Allyson Gable (Will), Joshua Shelton, Austin Shelton, Chelsey League (Chris), Rebecca Shelton, Kaitlin Shelton, Taylor Carter, Alexis Carter, Kristina Carter, Samantha Eastep, Tyler Short and Lauren Short; great-grandchildren: Dunkan Gable, Lily Gable, Christopher ”Turtle” League, Dominik League, and Gwendalynn League. Serving as pallbearers will be Fruit Taylor, Paul Shelton, Alan Carter, Shane Blake, Aaron Johnson and J. W. Summerall. Honorary pallbearers include Rodger Franklin, Donnie Taylor and Justin Strong.
