Ms. Urcine was truly one of the sweetest, soft spoken and gracious ladies that I have known. She and my mother shared a love of beautiful flowers. There were times I was either picking up or delivering blossoms from one's yard to the other.
Urcine is a relative of mine on my mother's side (Leona Rogers Murphy). I know Mother would want me to send condolences to the family. My maternal grandmother was Laura (Brandin) Rogers. Prayers for the family during this time will be offered to our Lord God.
My deepest condolences to the family. I remember Urcine and her daughters Diane and Debbie but most of all I remember her mother Miss Grace. Miss Grace taught me how to shelve books in the library at the first and second locations - first attached to the old movie theater and second adjacent to Pollard's Pharmacy. Being in the library was my first retreat from being at home and was the beginning of the feeling of growing into the person I wanted to become. - Charles Freeman Stamper
