Obituary of Bonnie Dulaney Brown

Funeral services for Bonnie Brown will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2020 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia with Bro. Donald Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow at the Dulaney-Starnes Family Cemetery, Sikes, Louisiana under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Visitation will also be Wednesday at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of service. Bonnie Ree Dulaney Brown was born June 30, 1933 to the union of her parents, Howard Dulaney and Alice Dunn Dulaney, and she passed from this life on March 22, 2020 at the Haven Nursing Center, Columbia, LA. Bonnie lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed baking and gardening, working puzzles and playing board games. She was an avid hunter and loved to fish. She worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's business all while running a busy household. She loved to sing and served as the choir director at Bethany Baptist Church when she was younger. She was a devoted wife and mother and a loving grandmother who doted on her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lillian Gregory, and her brothers: Carl Dulaney and H. L. "Buddy" Dulaney. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Otis Brown; daughters: Bonnie Ann Conerly (James) of Shreveport and Linda Reneau Cook (Sammy) of College Station, TX; grandchildren: Ann Caraway (Charles), Glenda Craft (Lee), Linda Mathews (Shane) and Brandy Brown (Nathan); great-grandchildren: Cristopher Caraway, Cordel Craft, Savanah Mathews, Harley Caraway, Acey Craft, Dustin Mathews and Alexandra Brown. The great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
