Obituary of Joyce Loree Robinson

Joyce Loree (Ree) Key Robinson was born on January 17, 1949, in Lake Village, Arkansas, and went home to be with her Lord on April 24, 2020 in Columbia, LA. After growing up in Kentucky, she married Eugene Robinson in Oct. 30, 1965 and made Louisiana her home. Ree earned a Degree in Education and Masters Degree in Counseling from Northeast Louisiana University, and she devoted herself to helping everyone she possibly could, all while ensuring her main focus was as a wife and mother. She by and large educated her children herself, having been saved by her Lord Jesus, she spent her entire life serving others. Because of that her children experienced so much more than many children do. She helped them learn how to be self sufficient and gave them adventure, which is rare in modern times. She was exceptionally loyal, caring and giving. She loved and served her Lord Jesus, her family and her community. Ree was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Violet Key, son Michael Robinson, grandchildren Tabitha Brown, Reed Brown, Katie Estep, and Tristen Robinson, great-grandson Jace Roberts, sister-in-law Lin Butler, son-in-law John Warner and grandson-in-law Jeremy Dulaney. She is survived by the love of her life, Eugene Robinson, children Kim and Mark Melton, Tami and Allen Brown, Kathy Warner, Jack and Katie Robinson, Rachel and Troy Bordelon, Daniel and Missy Robinson, Judy and Jason Thomas, 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sandra Key, sister-in-law Ann Berry, numerous nieces and nephews, and her best friends Judy and Kerry Papa. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. (Proverbs 31:28-30 NIV) We are all poorer from her passing, but look forward to reuniting in our Heavenly home. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
