Obituary of Robert "Shane" Hurst

Funeral services for Robert "Shane" Hurst, age 25, of Summerville, South Carolina, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Grayson with Bro. Michael Whitman and Bro. Tommy Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia and Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time at the church. Shane was born July 19, 1986 to Robert Edward Hurst and DeWanna Rolen Hurst in Edmonds, Washington and he passed from this life on February 6, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, Tennessee. He was a martial arts expert specializing in Wing Chung Kung Fu. He previously attended the Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Grayson. He was preceded in death by his uncle: Charles "Chuck" DeWayne Rolen. Survivors include his parents: Robert Edward Hurst and DeWanna Rolen Hurst; sister: Carissa Lee Keen and her husband Mitchell Keen of South Carolina; two nephews: Gabriel Caden Keen and Landon Louis Keen of South Carolina; grandparents: Bobby Gene Hurst of Mill Creek, Washington; Connie Lee Rolen and Wanda Dunn Rolen of Grayson. Pallbearers will be Courtney Dunn, Collin Dunn, Curt Dunn, Brandon Dunn, Ryan Dunn, and Cody Pickrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Keen and Jason Livingston.
