Obituary of Jolene Poole McGuffee

Jolene McGuffee age 93 of Enterprise was born on April 13, 1927 at Rosefield, LA to the union of her parents Nathan H. Poole and Dessa McVay Poole and she passed from this life on July 29, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe following a brief illness. Mrs. McGuffee was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Richard Elmond McGuffee three brothers, five sisters, and her daughter-in-law Judy McGuffee. She was a member of the New Ouachita Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending and loved yardwork, family and watching sports. She leaves behind two sons: Stevie McGuffee of Bossier City, LA and R E McGuffee, JR (Lois) of Enterprise, LA; her daughter: LaNae Chapman (Alton) of Columbia; her brother: Hershel Poole (Barbara) of Enterprise; her grandchildren; Greg McGuffee (Stephanie), Brian McGuffee (Stephanie), Tonya Hawkins (Steven), Christy Tate (Robbie), Amanda Burgess (Greg), Wes McGuffee (Kim) and Dusty Chapman (Roxanne); thirteen Great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be R.E. McGuffee Jr., Alton Chapman, Wes McGuffee, Steven McCormack, and Carter Salisbury. Deacons of New Ouachita Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Graveside services will be held on Sunday at Manning Cemetery near Rosefield at 10:30 AM with Bro. James King and Nathan Roark officiating. Memorials can be made to New Ouachita Baptist Church.
