Obituary of Louis Wayne Dannehl

Memorial services for Louis (Buddy) Wayne Dannehl will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Bellview Baptist Church in Columbia, with Reverend Rod Shipp officiating. Louis (Buddy) was born March 2, 1940 in Columbia, LA to Richard and Elaine Hall Dannehl. He passed peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2020, with family at his side. Louis (Buddy) was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elaine Hall Dannehl; son, Kenneth Wayne Dannehl; brother, Johnny Dannehl; sisters, Doris Dannehl Wiggins, Frances Dannehl Oliveaux, Everlyn Dannehl Lenoir, and Terri Dannehl; granddaughter, Danielle Berger of Columbia, LA and great-granddaughter, Bella Smith of Grayson, LA. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 58 years, Betty Jean Hines Dannehl, who cared for him diligently and faithfully never left his side; his children: David Saxton of Alexandria, LA; Mark Dannehl (Tammy) of Grayson, LA; Lisa White (Scott) of Ville Platte, LA; Penny Jarrett (Steven) of Grayson, LA, and Brandy Smith (Duane) of Grayson, LA: 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. He cherished each and every one of them. Buddy was a retired farmer, equipment operator, and welder. In his earlier years he had many horses and was an avid hog hunter.
