Obituary of Earl F. Rogers

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Earl F. Rogers, age 84, of Grayson, Louisiana will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Cross Roads Cemetery, Grayson, LA with Bro. Daniel Rogers officiating. Services are under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia. Earl was born February 11, 1936 at Urania, LA to the union of his parents, John W. Rogers and Tootsie Caroline Durham Rogers, and he passed from this life September 11, 2020 at his home in Grayson surrounded by his loving family. Earl was a wonderful husband and loving father. He loved his family but he especially loved his grandchildren, with all his heart! He enjoyed grilling and loved it when everyone would come visit. Above all, Earl loved the Lord and loved to talk about the bible. He was a media member of Family Worship Center of Baton Rouge, LA. Earl retired from Louisiana Pacific. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Kyle Rogers. Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, for 63 years, his wife, JoAnn Rogers; daughter, Frieda Doffitt (Steve); sons: Burt Rogers (Teri), Steve Rogers (Dena), and Todd Rogers; as well as, numerous grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Passage Hospice Co., especially, Kari, Kem, Lisa and Dr. Ponarski. Earl loved each one. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Doffitt, Dylan Rogers, Ben Clark, Jeff McKee, Stewart Baum and Nathan Plunkett.
