Obituary of Effie Lavon Kelly

Funeral services for Effie Lavon Kelly will be held at 12 PM, Sunday, October 11, 2020 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA with Bro. Jim McKeithen officiating. Interment will follow at Kelly-Duchesne Cemetery, Hebert, LA. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until time of service at noon on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the funeral home. Effie Lavon Kelly was born September 1, 1956 in Monroe, LA and passed away October 9, 2020 at her home in Hebert, LA after an extended illness. Effie enjoyed fishing and working at Citizen’s Medical Center before becoming disabled. She loved her family and loved life! She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Maxie Burton and Audrey Viola Bush Burton, her son Robert Kelly, and eight brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wade Kelly of Hebert, LA; her sons: Jacob Kelly (Kimberly) of MS and Roger Kelly of FL; her grandchildren: Abigail Kelly, Braelynn Kelly, Cambri Kelly, and Caden Kelly; four brothers and sisters; and her two little dogs she loved dearly, PeeWee and CoCo. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Fuller, Trey Medlin, Kenneth Grant, Sr., and Kenneth Grant, Jr.
