Obituary of Alfred Earl Bryant
Graveside funeral services for Alfred Earl Bryant, age 72, of Columbia, LA will be held at Columbia Hill Cemetery, Columbia, LA at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2020 with Father Dale Meade officiating. The family will receive visitors on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA.
Alfred Earl Bryant was born June 18, 1948 in Wisner, LA to the union of his parents, Travis Bryant and Mary Jane Glass Bryant, and he passed from this life October 22, 2020 at Haven Nursing Center, Columbia, LA. Alfred enjoyed being outdoors in nature, hunting and fishing. As a logger, he enjoyed traveling and learning about different parts of the state and learning the history of the areas where he worked and lived. He had a wealth of knowledge that he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. He shared many stories of his life experiences as well as imparting instructional knowledge. Alfred was a man’s man, able to handle any situation. He was an excellent mechanic and worked on all types of equipment. He was always teaching these skills to those around him. Alfred was a strong man and he had a way of encouraging you and making you feel like everything was going to be okay no matter what. More than anything, Alfred loved and cherished his family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Raymond Bryant and Leo Dan Bryant.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Jennifer Donalies (Dana) of Holum, Bryan Bryant (Kim) of Grayson, Tanya McNemar of Grayson and Christina Browning of Grayson; brothers: Travis Bryant of CA and Homer Bryant of AR; sister, Eva Jane Russell of Newellton; as well as, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Johnnie Calton V, Shannon Bryant, Tyler McNemar, Bryan Bryant, Jr., Dalton Donalies, Hayden Donalies, Jesse Jewell and Christopher Jewell.
Due to mandated guidelines regarding Covid-19, the family requests masks be worn to the visitation and service. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.
