Obituary of Nita Ann Fatheree

Funeral services for Nita Ann Fatheree, age 64, of Grayson, La will be held at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, Louisiana at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 27, 2020 with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. The family will receive visitors on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. Nita Fatheree was born July 19, 1956 in Monroe, LA to her mother, Grace Lasyone Acreman, and she passed from this life October 24, 2020 following a extended illness. Nita had a huge heart and had a great impact on so many lives. Nita loved her family, spending time with her grandkids, cooking, crocheting, and occasionally slipping off to the casino. Nita was loving, kind, caring, and a hard worker. She was often hard-headed and didn’t mind telling you what she thought. She was preceded in death by her mother and her granddaughter, Madalyne Garrett, as well as a special friend, Sylvia Lightsey. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Shannon Fatheree (Jennifer), Jessica Carr (Justin), and Betty Warren (Rob); three sisters: Vickie McNemar, Sandra Hyde (Hotshot), and Linda Guerrero; grandchildren: Trenton Garrett, Katelyne Warren, Anaklair Warren, Kallie Jones, Hannah Thaxton, Jeffery Varnell, Braxton Stowe, and Ana Kate Carr; great-grandchildren: River Denison and Olivia Denison. She also leaves behind two special friends, Theresa Veuleman and Ms. Mary Wade. Pallbearers Shannon Fatheree, Justin Carr, Trenton Garrett, Robert Warren, Jeffery Free, and Jeffery Varnell. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Riser Funeral Home, PO BOX 57, Columbia, LA 71418 to help with funeral expenses.
