Obituary of Lethey Oliveaux Wheeler

Private graveside services for Lethey Oliveaux Wheeler age 87 of Columbia will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at the Woolen Lake Cemetery at Hebert with her daughter Sarah Jones officiating. Services are under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Lethey Oliveaux Wheeler was born on August 17, 1933 in Richland Parish, Louisiana to the union of Fred Oliveaux and Bernice Garner Oliveaux and she passed from this life on December 22, 2020 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her husband Freddie “Jack” Wheeler, her parents and her brother Buddy Oliveaux. Mrs. Lethey retired with Citizens Medical Center in Columbia where she was staff dietician for many years. To know Lethey was to love her. She was always kind to hospital staff and patients and she is missed greatly. She served her Lord everyday and tried to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all of those around her. Left to cherish eighty seven years of memories are her two daughters: Sarah Jones (Gary) of Alexandria and Fredericka Lowery (Roy) of Columbia; her grandchildren: Lance Fife, Caleb Lowery and Sarah Beth Carter, her great-grandchildren: Will Fife, Cade McClanahan, Heath Carter, Gracie Lowery and Ashlynne Lowery; and a host of friends throughout Caldwell and Richland Parish's.
