Obituary of Willie Marvin Tyler
Graveside funeral services for Willie Marvin "Boots" Tyler, age 83 of Hebert will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 27,2020 at the Bethany Cemetery at Hebert, LA. Services are under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The Tyler family will receive guests on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Riser & Son Funeral Home, Columbia from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Willie Marvin "Boots" Tyler was born September 13, 1937 to the union of his parents, Samuel Franklin Tyler, Sr. and Mary Gardner Tyler, and he passed from this life December 23, 2020. Marvin was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Hebert. He worked on pipeline over fifty years. He enjoyed his work and the people he worked with. He has made so many close friends through out all of his years of work and travel; he has considered so many close enough to be family. Marvin loved spending time with his friends and family. Everyone loved his outgoing personality and fun sense of humor. His grandchildren were his joy and he loved them with all of his heart. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Fran Tyler; daughters: Kim Tyler and Paula Tyler; sisters: Maple Book, Inez Riggs, and Ildid Lake; and his brother, Sam Tyler, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Tim Tyler (Wendy); daughters: Dee Tyler and Hope Kenney (Spencer);brother-in-law, Freddie Book; and grandchildren: Shelby Matthew Tyler, Brandon Cole Tyler, Tyler Catherine Kenney, and Taylor McCartney Kenney. Marvin was so close to his neighbors that he considered them part of his family. He also had many cousins, nieces, and nephews that he loved dearly.
Serving as pallbearers will be Norman Roberts, Randy Perry, Adam Monk, Johnnie Scroggins, Cole Tyler, Shelby Tyler, and Ty Book. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Tyler, Joe Lane Tyler, Shelby Loe, Fred Book, Billy Joe Poole, Twill Parker, Roddey Fluitt, and Robert Washam.
