Obituary of Ellis Auston Weatherford

Ellis Auston Weatherford age 75 of Olla was born on January 14, 1945 at Winnfield, LA to the union of his parents Clarence Ray Weatherford and Beulah Spangler Weatherford and he passed from this life on January 8, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Weatherford had an extended illness. Ellis Weatherford was a loving husband and father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He spent his life working in carpentry and construction making a living for his family. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers Ray Weatherford, Joseph Weatherford, Jay Weatherford , Douglas Weatherford and by his sister Ellen Forte.He was a member of the Beech Creek Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and loved gardening and wood working. Left to cherish his life and memory are his wife of fifty three years, Mary Gail Weatherford; four sons: Chris Weatherford (Shani) of Grayson, Brent Weatherford (Debbie) of Beech Creek, Roger Foster (Julie) of Port Charlotte, Florida and Bob Weatherford (Lea) of Renner, South Dakota; his daughter's: Kelly McCarty (Terry) of Olla and Susan Foster of Hastings, Nebraska; his sister: Louvenia Kerley (Bill) of Logansport, LA; sixteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
