Obituary of Gary Wayne Johnson

Funeral services for Gary Wayne "Jukebox" Johnson will be held at Urania First Baptist Church in Urania, LA at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2021. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home. The visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the church. “Jukebox” was born on October 8, 1963 to the union of his parents, Wayne and Clara Johnson. He passed from this life on January 12, 2021. Gary worked in the oilfield throughout his life and was employed with EPS Companies as a contract operator for Kinder Morgan. He enjoyed his work and the people he worked with. Gary loved spending time working on trucks and talking to anyone about trucks. He enjoyed telling stories and reminiscing about "the glory days." He could often be found working on and listening to a nice stereo. He loved a Harley Davidson and enjoyed many road trips with the neighbors. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Everyone loved his fun sense of humor and outgoing personality. Gary was proceeded in his death by his parents, Wayne and Clara Johnson and father-in-law, Kenneth Strain. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Katherine Strain Johnson; son, Trent Johnson; sister, Rhonda Frazier and husband, Jerry; mother-in-law, Alma Strain; brothers-in-law: William Strain and wife, Stacie and Robert Strain; nieces: Madison Black and husband, James, (great niece Audrey Black), Toi Huffman and husband, Anthony, Amy Breland, and Dakota Frazier; nephews: Clay Breland, Chad Breland, and Lance Breland and wife, Michelle. Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Breland, Chad Breland, Lance Breland, John David Rankin, Charlie Brown, Jimmy Douglas and James Black.
