Obituary of Sandra Lee Norrell

Funeral services for Sandra Norrell will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA at 1:00 PM with Bro. Willie Beauboeuf officiating. The visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM on Tuesday. Interment will be at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, LA under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home. Sandra Lee Norrell was born July 30, 1953 in French Camp, California to the union of her parents, Frederick Sikes and Bonnie Lee Farmer Sikes and passed from this life January 15, 2021 at the Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, LA following a brief illness. Sandra loved life, loved going to church, and she loved her family. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and going to flea markets. Getting her nails done or just pampering herself were two of her favorite activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Trenna Jones; her brother, Peewee Sikes; and her husband, Wayne Norrell. Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Judy London (Mark), Johnnie Mae Nugent (Calvin), and Jane S. Banes (Bo); brother, Carl Luman (Becky), and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be James Banes, Jr., Michael Spears, Dalton Provence, Jody Johnson, Jameson McClanahan, and Brandon Miller. Honorary pallbearers include Eric Nugent, Mark London, Calvin Nugent, and James Banes, Sr. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Riser Funeral Home, PO BOX 57, Columbia, LA to help defray expenses.
