Obituary of Johnny Lee Quaid

Graveside funeral services for Johnny Lee Quaid age 66 of Clarks will be held on Thursday January 28, 2021 at the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson with Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Services are under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Johnny Lee Quaid was born on May 28, 1954 to the union of his parents, Robert Wesley Quaid and Myrtle Ulmer Quaid and he passed from this life on Friday January 22, 2021 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. Johnny spent his entire life physically handicapped but lived his life to the absolute fullest. His smile and laughter were contagious. He cared for and took care of his mother until she passed from this life and enjoyed helping her with gardening. He loved his entire family and loved being around them. One of his favorite pasttimes was watching old Westerns sometime 24/7. Johnny truly blessed our community with his presence and he will be missed by all who knew him, family and friends alike. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers: James Quaid, Jerry Quaid and Jimmy R. Quaid, and by his sister Evelyn Quaid. Johnny leaves behind his nephew: Jimmy Quaid (Sharon) of French Settlement, LA and four nieces: Shannon Quaid, Krista Brady, Brenda Quaid and Shalamar Quaid; and a host of great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; as well as other family members and a host of friends.
