Obituary of John Benton Short

Graveside funeral services for John Benton Short age 92 of West Monroe will be held 10:00AM Wednesday at the Old Union Cemetery at Grayson with Bro Johnny Lutrick officiating. The family will gather at the cemetery by 9:45 AM. John Benton Short was born on May 18, 1928 at Tuscaloosa, Alabama and passed from this life on Monday February 22, 2021 at the Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center in West Monroe. John was a ship inspector and to describe John the closest thing would be he lived the life of a distinguished gentleman. He loved working on El Caminos and loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Vertie Lee Moore Short and by his grandson Hunter Odom and granddaughter Faye Thomas.
