Obituary of Raymond Fatheree

Funeral services for Raymond C. Fatheree age 82 of Columbia will be held 10am Tuesday from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Boyett officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5pm until 9pm at the Riser Funeral Home located at 7131 U S Highway 165 in Columbia. Born Raymond Connie Fatheree on July 18, 1929 at Sikes, Louisiana to the union of his parents Willie Everett Fatheree and Ruby Antley Fatheree, he passed from this life on Friday March 16, 2012 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He was retired with the U S Army Corp of Engineers, and was preceded in death by his parents and by his step mother, Mary Fatheree; two sons, Harold David Fatheree and John Bryan Fatheree; and by two brothers Willie Joe Fatheree and Clyde Fatheree; and two sisters, Margie Taylor and Tootsie Free. Mr. Fatheree owned and operated Columbia Upholstery Shop and was a faithful member of Christian Covenant Worship Center in Columbia. Left to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Audie P. Fatheree of Columbia; three sons, Ronnie Fatheree and wife Venitia of West Monroe; Mike Fatheree and Wife Teresa of Columbia; and Russell Fatheree and wife Robin of Columbia; three daughters, Pat Rider and husband John of Columbia; Theresa Hendrix of Kelly; and Ruby Smith and Jeff Roberts of Columbia. He also is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Fatheree and Carl Fatheree both of Grayson, and twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Waylon Hendrix,J.D. Parker, Josh Hendrix, Brian Fatheree, Phillip Moreno, Timothy Fatheree and Keith Fatheree. Honorary pallbearers include Buddy James and Jay Crain.
