Obituary of Louise Martin

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise L. Martin, age 83 of Columbia will be held 10am Monday, May 7, 2012 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgetown Cemetery at Georgetown. Visitation will be on Monday from 9am until time of service at the funeral home located at 7131 U S Highway 165 in Columbia. Louise Lacas Martin was born at Jones, Louisiana on August 22, 1928 to the union of her parents Willis Eugene Lacas and Clara Odona Prestridge Lacas. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husbands Stanley Jones, James Johnson, and John Peters. She was a member of the Maranantha Baptist Church in Monroe. Survivors include her husband Travis Martin of Columbia; 2 sons, Gary Jones and wife Sarah of Alexandria; and David Jones of Chester, Virginia; her brother, Melvin Lacas of California; 2 sisters, Etta Maxey of Monroe and Inez Johnson of Columbia. She also is survived by her grandchildren Bradley Jones and John David Jones, and her great-grandchildren, Bradley, Kaylea, Keagan, and Michelle. Pallbearers include Kenneth Maxey, Ricky Maxey, Bradley Jones, Thomas Green, Robert Wayne Lacas, and Daniel Scott.
