Obituary of Bettie Miller

Funeral services for Bettie Marie Miller age 81 of Olla will be held 11am Friday February 18, 2011 from the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Olla with the Rev. Ricky Willis bringing words of comfort. Betsy Honeycutt will deliver the eulogy and the Rev. Dr. Curtis Carroll will officiate the graveside service. Interment will follow in the Olla Cemetery at Olla with services under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation for Thursday will be at the church from 5 to 7 pm, and on Friday from 9am until time of service Bettie Marie Williams Miller was born on March 8, 1929 at Ocean Springs, Mississippi to the union of Phillip Newton Williams, Sr. and Mary Ame Webb Williams. She passed from this life on Wed. Feb. 16, 2011 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and five brothers. She was an active member of the Olla First United Methodist Church, and was loved by all who knew her. Survivors include: her husband of sixty two years: Ray Bernard Miller of Olla. Three daughters: Betsy Honeycutt and husband John of Kelly, Jackie Adams and husband David of Sikes, and Cinde Lowery and husband Jerry of Greer, S C. Six grand children: Toni Bacon, Todd Long, Ken Gremillion, Andy Honeycutt, Kimberly Rowland, and Jeremy Lowery. Great grand-children include: Doryn Gremillion, Ali Long, Connor Bacon, Kinsey Long, Luke Rowland, Emory Rowland, Landry Long, and Eric and Derrick Gremillion. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include: David Adams, John Honeycutt, Jerry Lowery, Todd Long, Ken Gremillion, Jeremy Lowery, and Danny Bacon. Honorary pallbearers include Andy Honeycutt and Delmar Gilliam.
