Obituary of Bobbie Smith

Memorial services for Mrs. Bobbie Virginia Smith, age 83 of Olla, Louisiana, will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 23, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA. Visitation will be Saturday morning at Riser Funeral Home in Olla from 9 AM until time of service. Mrs. Smith passed away February 18, 2013 at her residence. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and taking care of her friends. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Hansford D. Smith. Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter Patricia Brasseux and her husband Adolph of Granbury, Texas, one son H. D. Smith and his wife Connie of Lafayette, Louisiana, and one sister Mavis Fluitt of Columbia, Louisiana. Mrs. Smith is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request, that memorials please be made to First Choice Hospice in Monroe, Louisiana. The family of Mrs. Smith wishes to extend a heart-felt thank you to the staff of First Choice Hospice for the loving care and attention afforded their mother in the time of illness.
