Obituary of Mary Jones

Funeral services for Mary Best Jones, age 74, of The Woodlands, Texas, and formerly of Urania,Louisiana will be held 1pm, Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Sanctuary of St. Williams Catholic Church in Olla, LA with Rev. Christian Ogbonna conducting the Catholic Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery near Kelly, LA. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Riser Funeral Home in Olla,LA from 5pm until 8pm and on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 10am until 12:30pm. Mary Best Jones was born on July 29,1938 in Tallulah, LA. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother all of her life. Her family was her passion. She left this life on Monday March 11, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Best and Viola Rushing Best, and her beloved husband, Roland Stanford Jones. Survivors include two sons: Roland Dennis Jones and wife, Debbie of Montgomery, Texas; and Obie Jones of Cheneyville, LA. Her two granddaughters who were the light of her life: Jennifer Crowley and husband, Mark, and their son and her great-grandson, Isaiah Crowley; and Allison Merchant and husband, Sameer.
