Obituary of Florence Martin

Funeral services for Mrs. Florence J. Martin, age 75, of Urania will be held 10 am Monday, March 18, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla. Rev. Shad Tibbs will be officiating with interment to follow in the Urania Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, March 17 at the funeral home in Olla from 5pm to 8pm. Florence Jordan Martin was born on September 22, 1937 in Winnfield, LA to the union of her parents, Eli Alfred Jordan and Millie Weems Jordan. She passed from this life on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her first husband, O. J. Franklin. Left to cherish her memory, her husband, Raymond Martin of Urania; son Kerry Franklin and wife Debbie (Sissy) of Olla; two daughters, Judy Poole and husband Charles "Buddy" Poole of Olla, and Jeanette Havens and husband Robert of Olla. Her grandchildren, Bradley Poole, Kimberly Stringer, Robert Earl Havens ,III (Trey); and Stacey Franklin; and her great-grandchildren, Hunter Poole and Hadley Poole.
