Obituary of Dannie Poole

Funeral services for Dannie J. Poole will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday April 4, 2013 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Rankin and Rev. Roy Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in the Hebert Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 4pm until 9pm at the funeral home. Dannie Janette (Brown) Poole was born on September 27, 1935 at Hebert, LA to the union of her parents, Randolph Louis Brown and Ruby Mott Brown. She passed from this life on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her first husband, Don Wendell James. She was a member of the Welcome Home Baptist Church, and loved gardening, her flowers, and fishing. Survivors include:her husband, James E. Poole of Hebert; her daughters, Debbie Mullenix and husband Larry of Hebert', Danna Mills and husband Randy of Hebert; her son, Don James and wife Debbie of Tallulah; and her sister, Irene Lott and husband Hershel of Woodville, TX. She also leaves her grandchildren, who were so blessed to have had her as a grandmother: John Michael James, Wendell Scott James, Matthew Lewis Mills, James Durwood Mills, Larry Steven Mullenix, and Robin Flores, and eleven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the Hebert Cemetery Association,@100 Peckerwood Road, Columbia, LA 71418, Attention:Debbie Mullenix.
