Obituary of Timmy L. Cox

Funeral services for Timmy L. Cox, age 50, of Clarks, will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday, April 7, 2013 from the sanctuary of the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle Church in Grayson with Rev. Sherman Jones and Rev. David Gomez officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery west of Kelly. Timmy was born January 27, 1963 to Willie F. and Vermell Cupples Cox in Columbia and he passed from this life on April 5, 2013 at his residence in Clarks. He was a House Parent for 9 years at Lakeview Community Home and was an employee of Louisiana Pacific for 21 years. He loved to fish and play jokes on people. He enjoyed making people laugh. He was preceded in death his father: Willie F. Cox; brother: Marty Joel Cox; nephews: Joey and Joel Cox. Survivors include his wife: Cherie Thomas Cox of Clarks; his son: Timmy Cox, Jr. of Clarks; his daughter/niece: Katelyn Thomas of Grayson; his mother: Vermell Cupples Cox of Grayson; his brothers: Bill Cox of Grayson; Paul Cox and his wife Betty Kay of Columbia; Terry Cox and his wife Connie of Grayson; his sisters: Rhonda Stapleton and her husband Chester of Kelly and Jan Stamper of Grayson. Pallbearers will be Timmy Cox, Jr., Mark Cummings, Larry Sikes, Cody Stapleton, Cliff Stamper, Jessie Cox, and Mike Stapleton.
