Obituary of Jamie Knighten

Funeral services for Jamie D. Knighten, age 40 of Columbia, will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Tommy Gammill and Bro. Bubba Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 11 AM until time of service at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA. Mr. Knighten was born on April 10, 1972 in West Monroe, LA to the union of his parents, Merla Dean and Lela Maxine Head Knighten and passed from this life on Friday, April 5, 2013 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Merla Dean Knighten; maternal and paternal grandparents and his uncle, Billy Gene Knighten. He enjoyed being on the river boating and fishing. He was a loving husband and father. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Christie Knighten; mother, Maxine Knighten; two sons: Dustin Knighten and Zachary Knighten; daughter, Ashlee Knighten; three sisters: Lynn Evans, Tammy Carr and husband, Dan, Sandy Tucker and husband, Bubba and Mickie Gammill and husband, Tommy and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bull Grayson, Mason Adkins, Luke Knighten, Allen Knighten, Ethan Garrett, Jason Bailes, Darrell Knighten and Justin Carr. Honorary pallbeares will be Lenny Knighten, Lanny Knighten and Dan Carr.
