Obituary of Denzil Cantley

The family of Denzil H. Cantley would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life, Saturday, April 20, 2013. This Memorial Service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Church of God, Hwy 126 W, Grayson, La. Service will be at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev's Nathan Bounds, Frank Alcorn,Jerry McGee and Jacquita Fields conducting the service. Denzil, "The Capt", a retired truck driver and an Air Force Veteran, left this world for his Heavenly Home , on Saturday, April 13, 2013. He was born to the union of Rayford R. and Lula Mae McCartney Cantley, on the 24th of September, 1935. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wives Virginia and Oleta, sister Edna Pearl Wallace, brothers-in-law Arthur J. "Wally" Wallace, Rev. Paul Howard, Jim Henshaw, and nephews Michael Langford, Tyler Berge, "Lil Paul" Howard, son-in-law Rev. Tommy Fields and grandson Brent Thornton. Survivors include wife of 24 years, Jo Taylor Cantley, Grayson, LA, children Denny Cantley, LaQuinta, CA, Brenda Eden, Little Rock, AR, Jorenda and Kevin Thornton, Zachary, LA, Jacquita Fields, Huntsville,AL, Steven Blaylock, Little Rock, AR. Blessed with 11 grandchildren and his joy, 1 great-granddaughter and 5 great-grandsons. Den claimed many others as his kids that were very special to him. He was very free with his love toward them. Also surviving are his brother Lamar, Vivian, LA, sisters Tena Henshaw, Keithville, LA, and Carolyn Ruth Howard, Bossier City, LA, and many nieces and nephews.
